Anthroposophy (root words: Anthro, Sophia) is an indispensable and *unique* impulse for the forward evolution of human civilization. It is intended to awaken humanity to it's latent powers of perception, cognition, and will: to bring us, newly developed, into the real spiritual world, while retaining the consciousness of the full light of day. This is *not* done with generalizations and vague lines of prose or rhetoric, but with a tremendous volume of natural scientific and spiritual scientific research and development, requiring a lifetime effort for it's efficient understanding and implementation. At the same time the facts of the spiritual world related in anthroposophy have the power to affect a noticeable inner transformation even at the beginning of such relations. The inner training now available through spiritual science has been part of the guidance of humanity in appropriately changing forms since well before the time of written history, whereby the human being has been led to an intercourse with the spiritual world.

Below is an attempt to elicidate some of the main areas of work in the world which the spiritual science of Anthroposophy has inspired.

Today’s ‘practical’ (materialistic) science has never taken on reality for me outside of Anthroposophy to the extent it has with the Spiritual Scientific method. The lack of serious foundations of external/materialistic science via epistemology has only led me to judge most of it's core assertions as absurd, childish and even emotionally driven, even though in many areas it is achieving great things for human civilization. Materialistic science seems to consider epistemology as mere ideology, not to be seriously considered but instead shelved and left for the idle spinning of 'unreal' and 'impractical' thinking of the philosophers, while the 'real' scientist is busy getting food on the table and contributing to GDP, all the while being kept from even helping humanity with that by the corruption and ignorance of the economic and industrial powers.

Social threefolding, World Economy, as outlined in Spitirual Science, is a description of the dynamics of human life on earth within three spheres: economic interactions, statecraft, and free spiritual activity. If you read these lectures, you can understand that it explains what is actually happening in the development of civilization, and you will nowhere find any dreamed up theories or utopias. You can then come to the idea that when we interfere with the healthy functioning or the sovereignty of these elements, an illness of civilization inevitably sets in.

Recognizing our children as creative spirits coming into the world, each with their own history and capacities, and paying careful attention to your class of young ones in order to learn how to best guide them in their development, has added a firm foundation for spiritual health to modern civilization in the form of Waldorf Education. I hope to see public funding become more available to the school of a parent's choice as a just alternative to having such funds given only to schools with state regulated curriculum! Currently Waldorf Education is almost exclusively a privately funded institution and rare to find. Regardless, the knowledge of it's approach is available. I believe eventually personally determined will to teach our children according to the free creative spirit, of which Waldorf education is exemplary, will prevail!
